Editorial and calculator standards

Useful information should show
how it earned your trust.

These standards govern how Morrowgate prepares educational guides, calculators, assessments, and future articles for business owners.

01

Begin with an owner decision

Every resource should help an owner understand a consequential question, test an assumption, or identify the next professional conversation. We do not publish pages simply to occupy a keyword.

02

Prefer primary sources

When a page depends on law, tax rules, regulatory guidance, or public data, primary government and regulatory materials are preferred. Professional and academic sources may add context; promotional summaries do not replace the underlying authority.

03

Separate arithmetic from advice

Calculators use disclosed assumptions and internally tested formulas. Their output is an educational illustration—not a valuation, tax return, legal conclusion, investment recommendation, or prediction of a transaction outcome.

04

Do not manufacture authority

A byline, professional review, credential, case study, client result, or testimonial is shown only when it is accurate and supportable. Drafting or formatting assistance is not presented as professional review.

Calculator methodology

The assumptions remain visible.

Each tool identifies the inputs used, the result being estimated, and the material facts it does not model. Calculation logic is tested against defined cases, including debt, tax basis, recurring income, withdrawal assumptions, and edge conditions where applicable.

We favor ranges, scenario testing, and clear limitations over false precision. A calculator result should create a better question for qualified professionals—not impersonate their conclusion.

Review, updates and corrections

Freshness is not a date stamp.

Published and updated dates should reflect substantive work. Material changes to formulas, assumptions, laws, sources, or conclusions require review of the affected page. Dates are not advanced merely to imply freshness.

When a meaningful error is identified, the objective is to correct the page, retest any affected calculation, and update the modification date. Questions about a resource can be sent through the direct inquiry form.

A direct starting point

You do not need a finished plan to begin.

Use the guided journey to organize the questions—or tell us directly what is in front of you.
